It is a bloody shame, but this nice car is done. For no good reason. No matter how much money you put into it. The car's driveability depends on this bloody 300 dollar sensor which is no longer for sale. You can remedy the other issues, but this issue can not be fixed. If this sensor must be replaced, you have to produce one yourself. This is not going to happen......

You can't fix it cuz it's a Jaguar. It's supposed to be constantly breaking. I sold them for many years. When people complained they were leaking oil we'd tell them that means there is oil in it.

Sorry, right when he lifted the hood and I saw all that dirt? THERE is where you problem lies. No offense to the customer but, you treat you car like shyte, it comes RIGHT back at you. Had a large coolant leak and didn't take care of it? Shame on you. My mechanic catches every issue with my car. I do pay a lot, but it is worth every penny to have a perfectly running car at all times. Better than it all coming at once. I have owned 2 of these (2007 and a 2010) and it is, overall, the best car I have ever driven. The 2007 (first year, early production) was pretty problematic, but the 2010 as been relativly well behaved. I rented a W222 560. It is faster and tech-ier, but the comfort of the W221 cannot be beat by anything except a Rolls or Bentley. If you can find a low-mileage, well maintained one, especially with Distronic, GRAB IT.

I have a 2007 ford f150 xlt with 205,000 miles and counting. It’s always been a work truck that hauls trailers and tons of scrap Over the days-weeks. I change the oil every 2000-2200 miles. Fully synthetic ultra platinum Pennzoil 5w30 even though it says 5w20. It’s my work horse, about to do a timing job to replace the oil pump, chain, guiders and tensioners. I’m hoping to hit 350k or more. As long as it belongs to me I’ll be sure to take care of it and keep it running.

Wizard! Have you done a 2000's Buick Ranier yet? Or a Trailblazer...same thing. What are the basic low points of these vehicles? I am buying one, a 2005 with the inline 6.

if you are going to buy one of these things you should expect and budget for four figure repair costs. it is easy for me to say but i would go to a trusted mechanic and get a bumper to bumper inspection and cost repair estimate. even if there are problems fixing them may be worth it.
